TOBi, a 25-year-old musician, was born in Nigeria and moved to Canada at the age of 8 with his father. They were the first of his family to travel to North America, living together for a year until his mother and siblings could immigrate over. The initial culture shock in his new surroundings made TOBi aware of his physical presence in social settings, but music became his outlet to express his raw thoughts and emotions. At the age of 23, he made the decision to fully pursue his musical dreams.

In 2016, TOBi released his debut EP, FYi, which featured singles like “iNDECiSiONS.” This was just the beginning of his musical journey. His track “Hidden Fences,” which was written about the multi-dimensional effects of gentrification in the city, was featured on the Season 2 finale of HBO’s ‘Insecure’ in 2017.

In the following year, TOBi collaborated with Take a Daytrip (known for their work with artists like Sheck Wes, 6LACK, and Juice WRLD) to release the single “January December.” This collaboration helped TOBi gain momentum and reach a wider audience.

On May 3rd, 2019, TOBi released his debut full-length album titled “STILL.” This album showcased his growth as an artist and his ability to touch on a variety of topics through his music. With his unique blend of soulful vocals and introspective lyrics, TOBi has quickly made a name for himself in the music industry. His powerful storytelling and emotional depth resonate with listeners and set him apart as a rising star in the world of music.
